ChronoLedger (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website chronoledger.site (the “Site”), including the ChronoLedger Text Analyzer tool. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we handle it. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. The short version
- Text you paste into the ChronoLedger Text Analyzer is processed directly in your browser. We do not intentionally transmit, collect, or store it.
- We do not currently use analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking cookies.
- You don’t need an account or to provide any personal information to use the tool.
- If that changes in the future, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
2. Information we collect
Text you analyze. The words you paste or type into the analyzer stay in your browser and are not sent to or stored on our servers as part of the tool’s normal operation.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information on every visit — such as IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages requested. This is standard web server activity used only for security, troubleshooting, and keeping the Site running. We do not currently combine these logs with analytics software or use them to build a profile of visitors.
Information you provide directly. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive whatever you choose to include (such as your email address and message) so we can reply.
3. Cookies
We do not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting platform or content management system (WordPress) may use a small number of strictly necessary cookies required for the Site to function (for example, security-related cookies). These don’t track you across other websites.
If we introduce analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies later, we’ll update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.
4. How we use information
Any information we receive directly from you (like an email) is used only to:
- Respond to your question or request
- Maintain, secure, and improve the Site
We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Third-party services
We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising services. If we add any in the future, we’ll name the service here and explain what it collects.
6. Data retention
Since the text you analyze isn’t transmitted to us, we don’t retain it. Basic server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations, then routinely deleted or overwritten.
7. Children’s privacy
The Site isn’t directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — for example, the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we collect very little personal information to begin with, most requests can be handled simply by emailing us at hello@chronoledger.site.
- If you’re in the European Economic Area or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
- If you’re a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site grows — for example, if we add analytics, ads, or new features. We’ll update the effective date above whenever we do, and note significant changes here.
